Help for your next run.
PaceBuzz is built by Andy Kent, a runner. For questions, a problem, or an idea, email andy@pacebuzzapp.com.
Help us understand the issue
Include your PaceBuzz version and build, iPhone and Apple Watch models, system versions, what you expected, and what happened. The app’s support email can fill in technical details; you can edit it before sending. Share only the information you want us to see.
Start with Setup
Open Setup on iPhone to choose a face, prepare your workout, and check permissions. The app supports iPhone with iOS 18.1 or later and Apple Watch with watchOS 11.1 or later. Train on Apple Watch; use iPhone to set up and review.
Learn the Crown rhythm
Try Crown Practice on Apple Watch. Use short turns and reverse direction for each additional turn. Keep your wrist raised and the display awake. One turn records a split; three alternating turns undo during the split cooldown; four open effort logging; five toggle buzzes. In Basic, enabled split inputs pause or resume GPS instead.
Understand pacing cues
Track cues follow your target-time schedule for marked distances, rather than detecting your arrival at a line. Road feedback can use GPS pace or distance. A cue does not record a split or advance the workout for you.
Basic pauses and automatic splits
Basic automatically records each mile or kilometer and the final partial split. Manual and automatic GPS pauses hold time, distance, and average pace; heart-rate collection continues. In Track and Road, GPS Auto-Pause holds distance while the stopwatch and pacing cues continue.
Strava uploads
Open More → Strava on iPhone. Manual and automatic uploads are free. Connecting does not turn automatic uploads on: enable them if you want new runs queued. Open PaceBuzz on iPhone with an internet connection to send pending runs. Availability also depends on Strava’s service and athlete limit. TCX export is available separately.
Premium and restoring purchases
Free PaceBuzz includes 3 current workouts and details for your latest 3 runs. Premium is a one-time purchase for unlimited current workouts, full run history, and restoring archived workouts. Check the current price and restore a previous purchase in the app using the Apple ID that bought it. Apple handles payments and refunds.
Permissions and analytics
Manage Health, Location, and Motion permissions, and Apple’s analytics sharing choices, in your Apple device settings. PaceBuzz relies on Apple’s aggregate reports for app-usage analysis; its own installation counter is retired. The privacy policy explains the cleanup of earlier usage records and your other data choices.
